Welcome to the St Andrews Episcopal Church Website
The present St. Andrew's Church, opened in 1888, occupies a pleasant site between St. Andrew's Street and Argyle Street.

Alexander Penrose Forbes, Bishop of Brechin from 1847-75, decided that a new church should be built, worthy of the City of Brechin.

After the Bishop's death James Crabbe, the rector, made sure that his plans went ahead. The church was constructed – albeit without its proposed spire.

Beautiful stained glass windows illuminate the interior. The altar and reredos are of stone and marble.

The pulpit, also of stone and marble is a memorial to Dean Crabbe.

Father David Mumford is our Rector, and he is assisted by two Non Stipendiary Ministers, Rev Ursula Shone and Rev Jane Nelson, and a Lay Reader, Mrs Joyce Mumford.
Father David is also Rector of St Drostan's Tarfside, Glenesk.

The requirement for membership of the Episcopal Church is baptism in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We accept as valid the baptism of all Churches. We invite all baptised Christians to participate in the Holy Communion and all of our services.

St Andrews Church Hall, located in St Andrew Street, Brechin is available for rent, either by the hour or for half days or evenings. See NEWS for more details
